How Can Educational Leaders use Blogs?

Educational leaders are on the forefront of investing technology into the daily school activities of our media-driven, technologically-native students. So why do we, as educational leaders, hesitate to instill technology into our own daily processes? Blogs are a great way to incorporate technology into the role of an administrator. One such way is to use a blog to conduct a book share. Book readers can post their thoughts and comments as they read. Another way to use a blog is for administrators to share with teachers announcements that need to be made, such as calendar updates and changes, meeting dates, and school event information. Blogs can be used to engage parent involvement, such as attaining parent feedback after a school event. These are just some of the ways that blogs can be used to make an educational leaders life a little more productive!
